D_MY PIXEL ID AVATAR

BEHOLD! Now, I too have a pixel warrior avatar! I’m hoppin’ unto the bandwagon too! Yeah!

This is a first for me! I had an interesting time doing this, but don’t expect me to do anymore pixel art. I’m sticking to poster colors – digital coloring just isn’t my style.

‘Bout my sprite, rules say that my pixel warrior should be me in sprite form. Well I guess this is my super-ego – minus the bishounen look and the blood.

My sprite’s name is Blood Type D or just D. I chose D ‘cause it’s the first letter of my name and I want to follow Death Note’s trend, hehe! Nick-Ian would’ve been a little lame.

I’ve been a fan of Samurai Showdown 4 and King of Fighters, so I wanted my sprite to really look like a decent 2-D fighting game character- simple but cool (I hope he is.) and with a fighting stance.

His weapon is his blood (I don’t know why I chose blood, of all things.). A mutated gene gives him a blood type ( " Blood Type D " ) that has characteristics resembling Gaara’s sand – his blood cells can mass replicate and shape-shift into whatever he desires (like the blood spikes I placed on his back). His blood would come out from a cross-shaped scar on his left wrist (inspired from Chrono Crusade, hehe!) whenever he needs it.

Someday, if I’ll learn how to, I’d animate this sprite!

And to make it more special, the portrait itself is also pixel art. Whew!

If anyone else has or already had the same idea with the blood-as-weapon concept, then, the more the merrier! Yihaa!

Wow, this here is the longest art description I’ve ever made. I’m just so happy, I can just die tomorrow!
