Yet another Final Fantasy 13 fan art from me.

Since I'm still stuck trying to strengthen my characters before facing the big jerk boss Orphan, I find myself always thinking of nice scenes to draw involving the FF 13 gang.
It's Hope this time.
I didn't like him that much at first. I thought his character design looked pretty generic - I've seen too many young anime bishounen with pale gray or white hair, sporting boots and a "hip" outfit...

And he's an irony! He has Hope as his name but he kept on blaming others, whined a lot and generally just damn hopeless in certain situations. Although yeah, it's understandable that he gets emotional after his mom's death, but c'mon! If I suddenly was able to fire elemental magic from my hands and summon Eidolons, I'd go around town in a gleeful rampage! ...Until I turn into a Cieth.

Kiddin'.
But he did redeem himself near the final parts of the story. I began to admire him. I hated his weak self before but then I realized I'm kinda' like him too - a big wuss and all.

I'm worse 'cause I haven't grown up like him.
This art is good stress relief though. I wanted to have a VERY watercolor look with vibrant hues, bright yellows and greens and hints of purples - just to try and make it look happy and "hopeful".

And I drew him with his hand outstretched as if reaching out for something - maybe a better "him"? A radiant future? A more eager view in life?

Whatever...
Oh, and don't forget Alexander in the background.

The Eidolon with a mustache.
