Mirai Nikki: The Observer Akise Aru

YES... Akise Aru!

He has to be one of Mirai Nikki's best characters (besides Yuno and Ninth). He's such a black horse in the anime. He's the unknown factor during the early episodes and near the end, he suddenly shines.

Okay, okay. He's a queer nut. But his character and personality is still pretty likable. He's such a star in the latest episode. There were so many epic Akise moments in there (like, *spoilers* he finds out he's just a creation of Deus, he fights against his fate, he gets his own Future Diary, he kisses Yukki, he gets his throat cut, he still tries to warn Yukki about Yuno despite this, he gets his head cut off yet finally still gets his message through Yukki with his cellphone.)

That episode made me want to draw him. And so here he is. I wanted this drawing to show a summary of his story. There's a part of Deus in the background to show his connection and his breaking away from him, the chair he's sitting on that's disintegrating, symbolizing his inevitable death, and the wound on his throat - signifying his sacrifice and a fate that he himself chose.

Had fun drawing this. And by the way, this is the last artwork I made in that drawing pad I got last Christmas. It's full now! Gotta find another.
